A1 المنصور، غسان. AB This research aims at finding out the possible relationship between Critical Thinking and General Reasoning (Maths). The sample of the study consisted of 283 third year students, males and females, from the Psychology and Counseling Departments, in the Faculty of Education, Damascus University. The research postulated that Critical Thinking performance has a positive correlation with General Reasoning (Maths). The research also tried to answer the question: Are there any differences in Critical Thinking and General Reasoning (Maths)that result from the following variables: gender, high school certificate, specialization. The results showed the following: there is a positive correlation between Critical Thinking and General Reasoning (Maths); the gender factor also has an effect on Critical Thinking and General Reasoning (Maths); the high school certificate factor also has an effect on Critical Thinking and General Reasoning (Maths); the specialization factor has an effect on Critical Thinking and General Reasoning (Maths).
