A1 المساعيد، اصلان صبح. AB This study aimed at finding out the effect of reciprocal teaching on students’ achievement in Arabic language in the ninth grade. The sample of this study consisted of (140) students :( 68) assigned as the experimental group and (72) as the control group. Tow –way ANOVA and means were calculated to find out the effect of the reciprocal teaching. The results revealed that there was a significant difference (∞>05) between the achievement level in favor of the experimental group due to the effect of this strategy of teaching. However, the findings indicated that there were no statistical differences in students’ achievement due to the gender variable. Moreover, no interaction between the teaching strategy and gender was revealed. Some recommendations were included. Keywords: reciprocal teaching; achievement, Arabic language.
