A2 مجاهد، أشرف عبد الحكيم A2 الزهراني، ناصر عوض AB The current study sought to reveal the extent of young people to realize their social responsibility towards the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice and exercising them, and the obstacles that prevent that, in addition to the possible methods to activate the responsibility of young people toward exercising the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice. The study belongs to descriptive studies, based on social survey method samples, data were collected by a questionnaire applied to a sample of (518) single students from King Abdulaziz University - Jeddah - for the academic year 1434 AH. Among the most important results of the study is that there is a high degree of awareness of social responsibility towards the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice, though it reflects the kind of side ideal for young people rather than a feature of conduct and practice, linked to this ritual the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice. There is an impression that the public responsibility for the Promotion of Virtue takes a more formalized nature of the cultural value system among members of society. It was found that the level of responsibility of young people towards the family, neighbors and colleagues is to some extent low, which gives a worrying indication with regard to neighborly, social and human relations between the members of the community in general. It was also found that younger people tend to be rebellious and exercise certain behavioral freedoms that may conflict with those of the community. In addition to the low level of interest in activities, quality and how to activate it in order to serve all community issues in a practical way is also examined.
