A2 الموجي، أماني سعد الدين A2 عفيفي، أميمة محمد AB The goal of current research is the development of physical concepts and problem solving skills for the middle school students in Iraq by using mind maps and generative learning strategies. Four units were selected " (matter - mass and volume - density - power) from the physics course. Then preparing the materials of learning "teacher guide and the learner guide" according to mind maps and generative learning strategies. To achieve the aim of the research two tools of research were built "achievement test and problem-solving skills measurement". Then the research applied on (60) students in Baghdad governorate. The research result in the Superiority of mind maps strategy than generative learning strategy in the development of physics concepts and problem solving skills for the middle school students in Iraq.
