AB The purpose of the study was to a knowing the efficacy of the counseling program in the development of self-concept for the students of the prep school .The sample of the study consist of (30) students of the ninth grade, who have gotten at low grades on the scale of self-concept and it was divided into group experimental (N=15) and a control group (N= 15). The results of the study:There are statistical significant differences at the level of significance ( 0.05 ) between the scores average of the experimental group and scores average members of the control group in self-concept after the applying of the counseling program on the experimental group members. There are statistical significant differences at the level of significance ( 0.05 ) between the scores average of the experimental group in the pre test and scores average in the post test of the self-concept after the applying of the counseling program. There are no statistical significant differences at the level of significance ( 0.05 ) between the scores average of the experimental group in the post test and scores average of the same group in sequential measurement in selfconcept two months after applying the counseling program.
