هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى تقويم كتاب التربية الوطنية للصف الثامن الأساسي في الأردن من خلال الإطلاع على آراء المعلّمين الذين يدرسون هذا الكتاب، حيث هناك حاجة ماسّة لإعادة النظر في المناهج والكتب المدرسية كجزء من النظام التربوي الأردني الذي اصبح هدفا للتطوير ومواكبة المستجدات العالمية في ميدان التربية منذ العام 1987. ولتحقيق ذلك تم تطوير مقياس لتقويم كتب التربية الوطنية وفق المنهج العلمي، يتكون من 85 فقرة رباعية التدريج وبلغت قيمة معامل ثبات الإعادة له 0.94. وقد وزعت الاستبانة على عينة من (102) معلّماً ومعلّمةً يتبعون لمديريتي التربية والتعليم في منطقتي اربد الأولى والثانية. وللإجابة عن أسئلة الدراسة استخدم الباحثان المتوسطات الحسابية والانحرافات المعيارية واختبار (ت) وتحليل التباين الأحادي ANOVA. وتمثلت أهمّ نتائج الدراسة في أن مستوى كتاب التربية الوطنية للصف الثامن الأساسي كان ضمن المستوى المتوسط بشكل إجمالي وأن المتوسطات الحسابية جاءت في المستوى المتوسط، والمتوسط الحسابي لمجال المعينات على استخدام الكتاب جاء في المستوى المنخفض، كما أشارت نتائج الدراسة إلى أنّ جميع فئات المعلّمين ذكوراً وإناثاً في المديريتين ومن ذوي التخصصات المختلفة والخبرات المختلفة اتفقوا على النتائج حيث أنّه لم تظهر فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في تقديرات المعلّمين تعزى للجنس أو المديرية أو التخصص أو الخبرة. The purpose of this study was to assess the national education textbook for the 8th Grade in the Basic Education Stage in Jordan by surveying the opinions of teachers who teach this book, in light of the critical need to reconsider curricula and textbooks in the Jordanian educational system in order to develop them and keep them abreast with world developments in education since the year 1987. To achieve this, an evaluation instrument whose purpose is to objectively assess the national education textbook was developed; the instrument consists of 85 four-point-scale items, and the test-retest coefficient was 0.94. The questionnaire was distributed to a sample of 102 male and female teachers in the directorates of education, teaching in the two Irbid regions (First and Second Districts). To answer the questions raised by the study, the researchers used means, standard deviations, T-tests, and ANOVA tests. The study’s most important findings were that the standard of the national education textbook for the 8th basic grade fell within the average level in general. The mean for one area, that of the aids used to teach the book, was low. The study findings also indicated that all groups of teachers, male and female, in both directorates and of different specialties and teaching experience, agreed on the results since no statistically significant differences were found in teachers’ responses that could be attributed to sex, directorate, specialization, or experience.
