This study aims to identify the impact of using POSSE strategy (Predict, Organize, Search, Summarize, Evaluate) on developing reflective thinking skills in science and life course among female fourth graders in Gaza. Tools of the study were represented in teacher's handbook based on POSSE strategy for the second unit of science and life course of fourth graders class, in addition to the reflective thinking skills test. The sample consisted of (76) female students divided into two groups; (38) students in the experimental group who studied the course using POSSE strategy, and (38) students in the control group who studied the course using traditional methods. The study adopted both of descriptive and experimental approaches. The most important results of the study: 1) There are statistically significant differences at significance level (α =0.01) between the mean scores of experimental group students and their counterparts in the control group, pertaining the post application of reflective thinking skills test, attributable to the used strategy. 2) POSSE strategy has been proved efficient in developing reflective thinking skills in science and life course among female fourth graders. The most important recommendation of the study: 1) POSSE strategy should be used more broadly than being limited to the study sample because of its effective contribution in developing reflective thinking among students. 2) Teachers of the same course should cooperate in formulating programs based on using POSSE strategy in teaching science and life course. 3) During the preparation of educational activities aiming at developing reflective thinking skills, the relevant considerations should be identified and maintained.
