AB - هدفت الدراسة إلى الكشف عن مستوى تمكن تلاميذ الصفوف الثلاثة الأولى في المدارس الحكومية بدولة قطر من مهارات القراءة الأساسية. تضمنت العينة ثلاث مدارس في دولة قطر، بواقع تسع تلاميذ من كل مدرسة، لتكون العينة سبعة وعشرين تلميذا. وتضمنت الدراسة قائمة بمهارات القراءة الأساسية في الصفوف الثلاثة الأولى، بشكل متدرج، موزعة على الصفوف الثلاثة، ثم عولجت هذه القائمة بشكلها المتدرج في تصميم ثلاثة اختبارات قرائية تحدد مستوى التلاميذ في مهارات القراءة الأساسية في ضوء محك التمكن، والذي حددته الأدبيات بنسبة 80% من مهارات القراءة في كل اختبار على حدة. أظهرت النتائج تدني مستوى تلاميذ الصفوف الثلاثة الأولى من المرحلة الابتدائية في التمكن من مهارات القراءة الأساسية؛ حيث أشارت النتائج إلى وجود صعوبات قرائية متعددة لدى التلاميذ في مهارات التعرف والنطق والفهم السطحي لبعض النصوص البسيطة؛ ومن ثم افتقار التلاميذ في الصفوف جمعيا إلى مستوى التمكن المطلوب وهو 80%. كما خلصت الدراسة إلى جملة من التوصيات الخاصة بوضع بعض البرامج العلاجية التي تركز على علاج صعوبات تعلم القراءة؛ في الصفوف الثلاثة الأولى واختيار الأساليب التي من شأنها مساعدة التلاميذ على التمكن من مهارات القراءة. كما اقترحت الدراسة عددا من المشروعات البحثية المتعلقة بميدان الدراسة. AB - The study aimed at investigating mastery level in basic reading skills of students in the first three grades in public schools in the state of Qatar. The sample included three schools in the state of Qatar, nine students from each school, to be twenty-seven students. The study included a list of basic reading skills in the first three grades, in a gradual manner, distributed across the three grades. This list was then utilized in the design of three literacy tests that determine the level of pupils in the basic reading skills in the light of the mastery criterion which is 80% in each test. The results showed a low level of students in the first three grades of primary school in the ability to master basic reading skills. The results indicated that there are multiple reading difficulties in the skills of recognition and pronunciation and surface comprehension of some simple texts. This indicates that the students did not manage to achieve the mastery level of required ability which is 80%. The study also concluded with a number of recommendations for the development of some intervention programs that focus on the treatment of learning difficulties in the first three grades and the selection of methods that will help students to acquire reading skills.
