AU - أبو زيد، أمة الكريم طه AB - هدف البحث إلى التعرف على أدوار وصفات معلمي العلوم في المرحلة الثانوية في المدارس اليمنية بأمانة العاصمة صنعاء من وجهة نظر طلبتهم، ولتحقيق هذا الهدف استخدم المنهج الوصفي. وتكون مجتمع البحث من (209) طالباً وطالبة من متخرجي المرحلة الثانوية في أمانة العاصمة، وتم مقابلة (21) طالباً وطالبة تم اختيارهم بالطريقة القصدية، وقد توصل البحث إلى أن هناك عدداً من الأدوار التي يقوم بها معلمو العلوم ومن أهمها: أدوار مجتمعية، وأدوار مهنية، وأدوار تكنولوجية، وذلك من خلال الخلفية النظرية للبحث، وأيضا هناك عدد من الصفات من وجهة نظر الطلبة التي يرون أنها إيجابية، ويحبون أن يتصف بها معلموهم من أهمها: الصفات الأخلاقية، والتمكن من المادة العلمية وطريقة التدريس الجيدة، إضافة إلى وجود عدد من الصفات السلبية التي رأى الطلبة أن يبتعد عنها معلمو العلوم من وجهة نظرهم. (الملخص المنشور) http://search.shamaa.org/abstract_ar.gif AB - The study aimed at identifying the roles and characteristics of science teachers at the secondary schools in Sana’a from the students' viewpoint. To achieve this objective, a descriptive method was adopted. The study population consists of (209) students who graduated from secondary schools in Sana'a. Total of (21) students were purposely selected for an interview. The results revealed that there are a number of important roles adopted by some science teachers including social roles, professional roles, and technological roles based on the theoretical background of the study. The results also revealed a number of positive characteristics from the students’ viewpoints that they love to find in their teachers such as morality, good command of the subject matter and their teaching methods. In addition, there were some unfavorable characteristics that science teachers should avoid from the students’ viewpoint.
