AB - The purpose of the study was to uncover the reality of strategic leadership practices in four dimensions (administrative, transformational, ethical, and political) among public and private school principals in Ramallah and Al-Bireh province, as well as the reality of organizational learning (individual, group, and organizational) in these schools from the perspectives of principals and teachers. To determine the extent to which school principals practice strategic leadership behaviors and the extent to which dimensions of organizational learning are available in these schools, the researcher used a quantitative, descriptive educational survey approach. A random, assisted sample of (410) male and female teachers was selected from the study population, as for the principals' sample consisted of (90) principals. To achieve the purposes of the study, the researcher adopted Pisapia strategic leadership questionnaire (2009) to assess school principals’ conduct. Moreover, the Marsick and Watkins learning organization dimensions questionnaire was used (Watkins & Marsick, 2003). To assess the quantitative results, the arithmetic means, standard deviations, and t-test were determined. The study's findings revealed that principals value the reality of strategic leadership behaviors in all four dimensions, with the ethical dimension receiving the highest arithmetic average, followed by the transformational dimension, then the administrative dimension, and finally the political dimension, it was really high. While instructors gave an average rating to the availability of strategic leadership behaviors in their four dimensions, the ethical dimension received the highest score, followed by the administrative dimension, transformational dimension, and lastly political dimension, where the ethical dimension was the only one that was available at a high level, as determined by the teachers, and differentiated from the rest of the dimensions that were available at a medium level. The availability of organizational learning aspects as viewed by both principals and teachers was averaged, all of the dimensions as perceived by the teachers and the principals were available in a medium level. The findings also revealed that due to the variable of the job location, there were statistically significant differences in the degree to which principals practiced the aspects of strategic leadership at the significance level (α ≤ 0.05). More from the perspective of the principals than from the perspective of the teachers. The results also revealed that there were statistically significant differences in the degree of availability of organizational learning dimensions (collective and organizational) related to the employment location variable at the significance level (α ≤ 0.05). Organizational learning at the collective and organizational level in public and private schools is more from the perspective of the principals than from the perspective of the teachers, whereas organizational learning at the individual level was clear that there were no statistically significant differences between the principals and teachers' perspectives at the significance level (α ≤ 0.05). In light of the study's findings, recommendations were made, including the importance of holding training courses in leadership in general and strategic leadership in its four dimensions in particular in Palestinian public and private schools, with a focus on the transformational and political dimensions, because they play an important role in inspiring and motivating teachers and creating a clear strategy. Also, building links between individuals within the same institution and with the outside society, which aids in seizing opportunities and avoiding risks, resulting in the formation of an educated and competitive institution that keeps up with change.
