AB - هدفت هذه الدّراسة إلى كشف أثر فاعلية تدريس وحدة "الذرة والجدول الدوري"، من محتوى العلوم للصف الثامن الأساسي، باستخدام نموذج سوم في تحصيلهم العلمي، وتنمية مهارات التّفكير النّاقد لديهم مقارنة مع الطّريقة الاعتيادية في منطقة المفرق. ولتحقيق ذلك الهدف، اعتمد التصميم شبه التجريبي، وتكوّن أفراد الدراسة من (42) طالبة، تم تقسيمهن إلى مجموعتين: مجموعة ضابطة، وتضمّ (21) طالبة، ومجموعة تجريبية، وتضم (21) طالبة من الصف الثامن الأساسي لشعبتين مختلفتين، من إحدى مدارس قصبة المفرق في الفصل الدراسي الأول (2021/2022)، حيث تم تدريس وحدة "الذرة والجدول الدوري" وفق نموذج سوم للمجموعة التجريبية، وتدريس نفس المحتوى بالطريقة الاعتيادية للمجموعة الضّابطة. وكشفت نتائج الدّراسة وجود فرق دال إحصائيًا بين المتوسطين الحسابيين لدرجات طلاب المجموعتين، في كل من الاختبار التحصيلي، واختبار مهارات التفكير الناقد، وكان الفرق لصالح المجموعة التّجريبية، وأوصت الدراسة باستخدام نموذج SWOM في تدريس العلوم. AB - This study aimed to reveal the effect of the effectiveness of teaching the unit "Atom and the periodic Table from the science content of the Eighth Grade, using the( SWOM) Model, on their Academic Achievement and developing their Critical Thinking skills compared to the usual method in Jordan .To achieve this goal, the quasi – experimental design was adopted in this study, and the study sample consisted of (42) female students, they were divided into two groups : a control group, comprising (21) students, from the eighth grade of two different divisions in Mafraq Governorate. in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, from one of the schools of Qasaba Mafraq in the first semester (2021/2022), where the unit " Atom and the Periodic TABLE "was taught according to the SWOM model for the experimental group, and the same content was taught in the usual way for the control group. The results of the study revealed a statistically significant difference between the two arithmetic averages of the scores of the students of the two groups, in both the Achievement test and the Critical Thinking skills test, and the difference was in favor of the experimental group.
