AU - المسعود، فوزية عبيد AB - هدفت الدراسة الحالية إلى البحث عن دور وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي في دعم القيم الإجتماعية وتعزيزها لدى طلبة كلية التربية بجامعة الكويت، واستخدمت المنهج الوصفي من خلال تصميم استبانة تضم ستة محاور تم تطبيقها بعد التأكد من خصائصها السيكومترية وصلاحيتها للتطبيق، على عينة مكونة من 359 طالباً وطالبة بكلية التربية بجامعة الكويت. وأظهرت نتائج المعالجة الإحصائية أن وسائل التواصل الإجتماعي تسهم في دعم الانفتاح على ثقافة الآخرين وتعزيز قيمة التعاطف مع الآخر في حين كانت قاصرة عن تعزيز قيم العدالة والديمقراطية، وتكافؤ الفرص في التعليم، والتسامح ودحض الأفكار العنصرية. ووفقاً لهذه النتائج اقترحت الدراسة تفعيل دور الإعلام الأمني في مراقبة الموضوعات التي تنشر عبر وسائل التواصل الإجتماعي والوقوف بحزم أمام الأفكار العنصرية. (الملخص المنشور) http://search.shamaa.org/abstract_ar.gif AB - The current study aims to explore the role of social media in reinforcing social values among students of the College of Education, Kuwait University. For the purpose of the study the descriptive approach was used and a questionnaire was designed and administered on a sample of 359 students studying at Kuwait University. Results showed that social media play a role in reinforcing openness towards multiculturalism and empathy among youth. However, social media did not influence justice, democracy, equal educational opportunities, tolerance and anti-racism values. In light of these results, some recommendations and suggestions were made, the most important of which is activating the role of the media security in controlling the issues published on social media and rejecting racist ideas.
