AU - عبابنه، منال عبد الرحمن AU - خصاونة، أمل عبد الله AB - هدفت الدراسة إلى تقصّي مظاهر الحس الرمزي لدى طلبة المرحلة الجامعية الأولى، وذلك باستخدام المنهج النوعي. تألفت عينة الدراسة من (20) طالباً وطالبة من طلبة تخصص الرياضيات للمرحلة الجامعية الأولى. وقد جرى استخدام اختبار في الحس الرمزي للكشف عن مظاهر الحس الرمزي لدى الطلبة، كما أجريت مقابلات تأملية معمّقة، بالإضافة إلى التسجيلات الصوتية. وقد جرى تحليل محتوى إجابات الطلبة المكتوبة على الإختبار والمقابلات المرافقة بالاعتماد على إطار مفاهيمي للحس الرمزي (أداة تحليل) أعدّ لهذا الغرض. وأظهرت النتائج عدداً من مظاهر الحس الرمزي لدى الطلبة، وقد توزعت على مرحلتي حل المسألة: الصياغة، والحل ضمن عنصري التوقع الجبري والقدرة على ربط التمثيلات، بينما كانت المظاهر في مرحلة التفسير والتحقق نادرة. ومن أبرز المظاهر الشائعة لدى الطلبة: معرفة متى تُستخدم الرموز الجبرية، والقدرة على اختيار تمثيلات رمزية ممكنة، ومعرفة معنى الرموز الجبرية، ومعرفة ترتيب العمليات الجبرية وخصائصها، وتحديد نوع الصيغة الجبرية وربطها بنوع الحل، وربط الأنماط العددية أو نمط في جدول بصيغة جبرية. ولكنّ عدداً من هذه المظاهر كانت ممثلة بسلوكات غير منتجة أو غير صحيحة في بعض المواقف، مما أُعتبر في المقابل أنه يوجد ضعف في الحس الرمزي لدى الطلبة. وفي ضوء هذه النتائج، يمكن التوصية بالتركيز على المهارات الجبرية وسلوك الحس الرمزي في العملية التعليمية التعلمية بشكل متكامل دون الفصل بينهما، وأهمية التركيز على الفهم المفاهيمي لأنه يشكل الأساس للحس الرمزي، وضرورة استخدام استراتيجيات جبرية منظمة غنية بالحس الرمزي. Twenty undergraduate students, specialized in mathematics participated in this study. To achieve the aim of the study, a symbol sense test and reflective interviews with audio recording were used to collect data. In addition, a symbol sense evidences framework was used to analyze the data. The results revealed the number of symbol sense aspects among the undergraduate students, in the form of the problems, in the algebraic expectations of the solution and in the ability to link representations in the solution, while the aspects in explaining and in checking the solution were rare. The common aspects of symbol sense among students were, recognition when symbols can be used, the ability to choose symbolic representations, recognition of the meanings of algebraic symbols, knowing the order of operations and its properties and identifying the form of the problem and linking it with the type of the solution. In the opposite, a number of the aspects of symbol sense were not productive and incorrect. Regarding the results of the study, priority should be given to the algebraic skills and symbol sense behaviors, where both should be integrated in teaching and learning algebra.
