AU - السهلي، نورة بنت بتال AB - The study aimed at revealing the role of student extra-curricular activities in developing leadership skills among female undergraduates of Hafr Al-Batin University along with providing a proposed development vision. Aiming to achieve the objectives of the study, the analytical descriptive research approach was used, as the researcher prepared a two-part questionnaire. The first part included The degree to which student extra-curricular activities contribute to the development of leadership skills among female students of Hafr Al-Batin University, and it consisted of (21) items. The second part included the prominent challenges inhibiting those activities from being activated in the role of developing leadership skills among university students, and it consisted of (10) items. After validating confirming the reliability of the tool, it was distributed to a random sample of (375) students out of the (15039) students who form the total study population. After conducting the appropriate statistical analyzes, the findings revealed that following: the value arithmetic mean of the role of student extra-curricular activities in developing leadership skills among female undergraduates of Hafr Al-Batin University from their own perspective was (2.12) with a moderate score. Whereas, the value of the arithmetic mean of the challenges that face these activities was (2.24) with a moderate score. In the light of the study findings, the researcher developed a proposal to raise the effectiveness of the student activities’ role in developing leadership skills among female university students.
