AB - هدفت الدّراسة معرفة دور المطالعة في المكتبة المدرسية في تنمية مهارات الأداء التعبيري لدى طلبة المرحلة المتوسطة في دولة الكويت من وجهة نظر المعلمين. واتّبع الباحث المنهج الوصفي المسحي في دراسته. وبلغ عدد أفراد الدّراسة (75) معلمًا للغة العربية ممن يدرسون في منطقة الفروانية، وجرى اختيارهم عشوائيًا. وأعدّ الباحث أداة لدراسته تكونت من (30) فقرة في صورتها النهائية، جرى التحقق من صدقها وثباتها. وبعد إجراء التحليلات الإحصائية أظهرت نتائج الدّراسة أنَ دور المطالعة في تنمية مهارات الأداء التعبيري جاء بدرجة متوسطة بشكل عام. وتوصلت الدّراسة أيضًا إلى عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية (α = 0.05) تعزى لمتغير المؤهل العلمي، وكذلك عدم وجود فروق دالة إحصائيًا (α = 0.05) تعزى لمتغير سنوات الخبرة. وفي ضوء النتائج توصلت الدّراسة إلى عدد من التوصيات ذات الصلة من أهمها: دعوة وزارة التربية والتعليم إلى تخصيص حصة أسبوعية للمطالعة داخل المكتبة المدرسية. AB - The study aimed to know the role of reading in the school library in developing expressive performance skills among middle school students in the State of Kuwait from the teachers' point of view. The researcher followed the descriptive survey method in his study. The number of the study members reached (75) teachers of the Arabic language who study in the Farwaniya area, and they were randomly selected. The researcher prepared a tool for his study that consisted of (30) paragraphs in its final form, whose validity and reliability were verified. After conducting statistical analyzes, the results of the study showed that the role of reading in developing expressive performance skills was of a moderate degree in general. The study also found that there were no statistically significant differences (α = 0.05) attributed to the scientific qualification variable, as well as the absence of statistically significant differences (α = 0.05) attributed to the years of experience variable. In light of the results, the study reached a number of relevant recommendations, the most important of which are: Inviting the Ministry of Education to allocate a weekly session for reading inside the school library.
