AU - الجسار، سلوى عبد الله AB - بالإشارة الى اتفاقية الأمم المتحدة عام ١٩٩٥ بشأن التسامح، الذي يعتبر من مبادئ الإنسانية لربط قيم المجتمعات المتنوعة، والمتعلقة بالإحترام وتقبل آراء الآخرين والثقافات المختلفة. فقد هدفت الدراسة الحالية الى التعرف علي دور معلمي ومعلمات الاجتماعيات في تعزيز ثقافة التسامح لدى طلبة وطالبات الصف العاشر فى المرحلة الثانوية بدولة الكويت. ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة، تم إعداد إستبانة تكونت من (28) عبارة طبقت على عينة اجمالية بلغت 378 طالب وطالبة، تم إختيارها عشوائيا من ثلاثة مناطق تعليمية، بعد أن تم التحقق من صدقها وثباتها. واستخدم الباحثة المنهج الوصفي التحليلي لمناسبتة طبيعة الدراسة. ولقد تم استخدام المتوسطات الحسابية، والإنحرافات المعيارية، واختبار T-test، وإختبار ANOVA لتحليل بيانات الدراسة. وأظهرت نتائج الدراسة حصول جميع عبارات الاستبانة لتعزيز ثقافة التسامح لدى طلبة الصف العاشر (ذكور وإناث) على متوسطات حسابية (من 3.65 الى 4.43)، وبدرجة عالية وعالية جدا .كما تبين وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين أراء الطلبة حسب متغير النوع والمنطقة التعليمية بالنسبة لدور معلمي ومعلمات الإجتماعيات فى تعزيز ثقافة التسامح. خرجت الدراسة بمجموعة من التوصيات تسهم في بالارتقاء بدور معلمي ومعلمات الإجتماعيات في تعزيز ثقافة التسامح لدي طلبة الصف العاشر بالمرحلة الثانوية. (الملخص المنشور) http://search.shamaa.org/abstract_ar.gif AB - In accordance with the united nations 1995 declaration of principles on tolerance, tolerance is an act of humanity that helps to rejoice the diversity of values. It is the respect, acceptance, and appreciation of cultures and perceptions. This research aims to evaluate the role of social studies teachers in promoting a culture of tolerance amongst students. This mixed methods research employs the use of a 28-categorized questionnaire, verified for validity and reliability. The randomized, co-gender research sample consists of 378 students in the tenth-grade level. Students’ perceptions revolved around the extent to which social studies teachers instilled values of tolerance and acceptance in their daily teachings. Three major educational districts in Kuwait are selected - Hawally, Farwaniya, and Ahmadi. A descriptive analytical approach and use of T-test and ANOVA methods are applied for data analyses, during the academic year of 2017-2018. Findings reflect high/very high expressions (mean values of 3.65-4.43) for the role of social studies teachers in promoting a culture of tolerance amongst classroom students. Research results indicate statistically significant differences between the teacher’s gender and amongst the educational districts, from the perspective of students. The research concludes with a set of recommendations for enhancing the role of social studies teachers in promoting a culture of tolerance amongst high school students in the state of Kuwait.
