AB - The study aimed to identify the extent to which the principles of sustainable development are included in the books of national and civil education, a proposed vision for its development. The study sample consisted of all national and civil education books for the upper basic stage of the academic year 2019/2020. The two researchers adopted content analysis to collect study data, and the results of the study showed the strategic and participatory sufficiency field came first with repetition (229) and the adequacy of critical thinking came second with repetition (137) and the pre-emptive sufficient field came third with repetition (130), and the results of the study also showed that most of the principles of development for a sustainable repeatedly mentioned in the book of national education and civil ninth grade repetition (160).
