AB - This study aimed to identify the effectiveness of "Leading For The Future" program and its relationship to UNRWA school principals' competencies of crisis management in southern governorates of Palestine in light of taxonomic variables (gender, academic rank, years of service). Study methodology and tools: The study was followed by a descriptive analytical method, The researcher prepared two questionnaires: The first one is related to the effectiveness of "Leading For The Future" program which consisted of (32) paragraphs, and dealt with four areas:( being leader, leading a team, improving teaching and learning, appraising and managing performance). The second questionnaire focuses on competencies of crisis study community management, consisting of (37) paragraphs, and dealt with three areas (strategic planning, dealing with the crisis as its happening, evaluation and follow up) The study community consists solely of UNRWA school principals in southern governorates of Palestine The sample of the study was chosen by the researcher in a comprehensive survey of the original study society, (209) of them responded equals almost (77.4%). The study reached several results, the most important ones are: 1) The effectiveness of the leadership program for the future, where the axis of the program has a relative weight of(73.39%) The first training complex (being a leader) achieved a relative weight of (74.38%) and was ranked first, followed by the fourth training complex (evaluation and management of staff performance) with a relative weight of (73.69%). Third place was the second training complex (team leadership) with a relative weight of (73.57%). The fourth and final place was for the third training complex (improvement of teaching and learning) with a relative weight of( 71.93%). 2)There were no statistically significant differences between the responses of respondents on the effectiveness of the leadership program for the future due to the gender variable. There were also no statistically significant differences between respondents' responses to the degree of ownership of crisis management skills among school principals in the Gaza Strip attributed to sex (Male Female). 3) There were no statistically significant differences between the responses of respondents on the effectiveness of the leadership program for the future due to the variable of scientific qualification. There were also no statistically significant differences between respondents' responses to the degree of ownership of crisis management skills among school principals in the Gaza Strip, attributed to scientific qualification (Bachelor / Postgraduate). 4) There is a statistically significant correlation at the (α 0.05) level between the degree of effectiveness of the leadership program for the future and the degree of ownership of crisis management competencies among UNRWA managers. The study recommended a number of recommendations, the most important ones are: 1) Continuity and support of training programs dedicated to the management and leadership of schools, which work to develop and raise the competencies of school principals in the management of the entire educational process. 2) Enhancing the role of UNRWA in educating and training staff on crisis management in an ad hoc manner in line with the nature of the Gaza Strip and the successive and multiple crises caused by the occupation, the siege, the harsh economic and economic conditions imposed on it (Author’s abstract) http://search.shamaa.org/abstract_en.gif
