AU - حسن، وسن محسن AB - يستعرض البحث الحالي واقع البحث العلمي في مجال الخدمة الاجتماعية في العراق، وأهم المعوقات التي يعاني منها لاسيما في الجامعات والمؤسسات الاكاديمية، لاسيما أن الجامعة تعد من المؤسسات الحيوية والمهمة على الصعيد الاجتماعي، ومن خلال المنهجية التي اتبعتها الباحثة خلال مجريات الدراسة عبر المقابلات الكيفية التي أجرتها مع عدد من الخبراء والمتخصصين بالشأن العلمي فقد سعت الى تشخيص ذلك الواقع، ووضع اليد على مكامن الخلل الذي تمثل في اعاقة التخصيصات المالية دون اسهام البحث العلمي في حقل الخدمة الاجتماعية ببرامج التنمية العامة.
