AU - خواجي، أيمن طاهر محمد AB - The present study aimed at investigating the effect of using Marzano's dimensions of learning in teaching chemistry in conceptual understanding and developing reflective thinking skills among second secondary school students. To achieve this aim, the study was applied on a sample consisted of (60) students from two schools in Sabya city, Jazan. The sample was divided into two groups; one experimental and another control (30 students for each group). The study used two tools were conceptual understanding test including (demonstration, explanation, application and perspective taking) and reflective thinking skills test including (reflection, observation (visual vision), mistakes discovering, giving persuasive explanations, concluding, and giving solutions). Using t-test, the results revealed that there were statistically significant differences at the alpha level set at < .0٠5 among the average degrees of both the two groups (experimental and control) in the post tests in favor of the experimental group. Accordingly, the researcher presented some recommendations including that Marzano’s dimensions of learning should be used to develop practical thinking skills of the different scientific curricula among secondary school students.
