AB - The study aimed at identifying the effect of using thinking maps strategy on improving reading comprehension and reflective thinking in English language among the tenth-grade students. The study sample consisted of (72) students who were randomly selected from tenth grade students at Zarqa directorate during the first semester of the academic year 2013/2014. In order to achieve the aims of the study, (Eysenck & Welson, 1977) scale of reflective thinking, (hyerle.1996) thinking maps were used. The researcher used (SPSS) program to find out means, standard deviations, analysis of variance, t-test, one way ANCOVA and (one way MANCOVA. The study revealed that the effect of using thinking maps strategy was moderate. The result also showed that there is a statistical significant differences developing students' reading group who used thinking maps. Moreover, there is a positive correlation relationship between thinking maps, reading comprehension and reflective thinking. In addition, the result showed that predictive ability of thinking maps at the reading comprehension and reflective thinking levels were noticed in the sample.
