AU - Alhumidi, Hamed A AB - The current study aimed at determining the moral values that should be included in the Arabic language books of the intermediate schools (Grades 6,7,8 and 9), in the State of Kuwait. To achieve that goal, the researcher adopted the content analysis approach, which called for using two tools, the first was a moral values questionnaire and the second was a content analysis form. In the light of analyzing the study data a list, including 20 moral values, has been determined. The contents of the Arabic language books of the intermediate schools include all the values mentioned in the list, which the experts recommended to be included in the content of those books, but the level of those values was weak though. The content of in the Arabic language books of grade (6) has the highest frequencies of moral values with (230) times followed by the books of grade (9) with a total frequency of (201) times then grade (7) with (177) times and finally grade (8) with (164) times. The results also revealed an imbalance in presenting the citizenship values within the contents of the books, with the stress on certain values, which made them come in average frequencies. Those values are love for others, cooperation, fair conduct, integrity, truthfulness, patience and tolerance. The rest of the values, mentioned in the values list, were marginalized in spite of their importance, so they came in low frequencies in addition to the missing gradation in frequencies among the grades of the educational stage as grade (6) came first in the number of frequencies followed by grades (9), (7) and (8).
