AU - اللواتية، سعاد بنت محمد AU - حسن، عبد الحميد سعيد AU - الطائي، رقية بنت سيف AB - The current quasi-experimental study aims to investigate the effect of a group career guidance program to develop critical thinking skills and assistive work skills for students of engineering at Sultan Qaboos University. The study sample includes 30 students divided into 15 students as an experimental group and 15 students as a control group. The experimental group underwent the group career guidance program while the control group did not but rather a critical thinking scale including 14 phrases and a supporting work skills scale consisting 34 phrases. The ANCOVA results analysis show that there were significant statistical differences between the experimental and control groups in the post measurement in favor of the experimental group. The T-Test results show that there are significant statistical differences between pre and post measurement of the experimental group in favor of the post measurement. The T-Test results revealed that there are no significant statistical differences between the post and follow up measurement of the experimental group. Some recommendations and suggestions were made based of the study findings.
