AU - المغذي، عادل بن عايض AB - The current study aimed to identify the obstacles of scientific publishing in the (ISI) journals from the viewpoints of the faculty staff members in some Saudi Universities. The study also investigated the effect of some demographic variables and made use of the descriptive method. A questionnaire was utilized for collecting the target data from the study participants (600 faculty staff members). The results of the study revealed some obstacles in relation to scientific publishing in the (ISI) journals, namely, the absence of incentives of encouragement for conducting outstanding and creative research projects, the absence of sharing suitable information about the research published in the (ISI) journals to be best utilized by those who are interested, the difficulty of fulfilling the standards and conditions for publishing in the (ISI) journals, The limitedness of time for conducting the reviewers‟ amendments, the insufficiency of the financial resources for scientific publishing in general, the adherence to the laws and regulations superficially, the emphasis on formalization and neglecting content, the length of time in relation to the presentation of the research and its publication in the (ISI) journals. The results also indicated that there are differences in the responses of the study participants due to the variables of (gender/ rank / specialization).
