AB - The objective of this study is to detect the level of psychological stress resulting from academic choice in successful bachelor's degree students, and its relationship with the ego identity building grades and identify the effect of variables such as gender, Average and baccalaureate section. The study was conducted on a sample of 292 new students who successfully completed the baccalaureate of the Willaya of El-Oued-Algeria the study used: psychological stress scale resulting from academic choice, objective measurement of ego identity grades. The study followed the descriptive method, using: mean, deviation, percentages, t-test. It was concluded that: 1) The level of stress resulting from school choice is high, and that 65.75% of students have a high level of stress. 2) most of the respondents are still suffering the identity crisis, enabling only 25% of the total sample to overcome the crisis properly by reaching the level of investigation. 3) There were no statistically significant differences among the sample members of different grades of identity in the level of pressure according to gender, Baccalaureate average and specialization.
