AU - الهويش، يوسف محمد AB - The aim of this study was to identify the role of Colleges of Education at Shaqra University -four colleges- in developing students’ social responsibility. Not only that, but this study also aimed at determining how to activate that role based on the university activation mechanisms, and detecting the obstacles that stand in the way of developing students’ social responsibility. The researcher followed the descriptive analysis method in which he used a questionnaire to a random sample of (400) male and female students in Colleges of Education at Shaqra University. There are several results of this study, but the results that stand out are: The Colleges’ interest in developing students’ social responsibility focuses on the “National Responsibility” dimension, which got the highest score. Following that was the dimension of “Religious and Ethical Responsibility”, then the dimension of “Personal Responsibility”, and finally the dimension of “Social Responsibility” which like the others got an average score. To summarize the results, the ways that can contribute to the development of students’ social responsibility at Shaqra University scored “High”, and the phrase “Increasing the university activities in the field of social responsibility” came first. The study showed that the main challenges that were encountered are: Lack of discussing some ethical issues at the university, lack of communication between faculties and students about the current issues from the educational and moral perspectives, and lack of allocating prayer room for students.
