AU - صقر، نجلاء عمر AU - الناقة، صلاح أحمد AU - أبو شقير، محمد سليمان AU - درويش، عطا حسن AB - The study aimed at investigating the effectiveness of a program based on Scamper Model in developing critical thinking in science and life among fourth graders in Gaza. The teacher’s guide and the test of the critical thinking skills. The study sample consisted of (68) female pupils, divided into (34) students as an experimental group which studied using the program based on Scamper Model and another (34) students as a control group which studied using the traditional method. The study adopted the descriptive approach and the quasi-experimental approach. 1) There were statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the experimental group and those of their counterparts in the control group in the whole thinking skills test and in every individual skill (induction, interpretation, prediction, evaluation) in favor of the experimental group. 2) The program based on Scamper Model proved to be effective in developing critical thinking skills among female fourth graders. 1) Using various instructional strategies and models, including Scamper Model, to develop critical thinking skills in the basic stage science curricula. 2) Taking the needs and characteristics of the basic stage pupils while teaching critical thinking skills so as to contribute to transforming these skills into desired daily behaviors. 3) Creating new assessment techniques to evaluate the learning of basic stage science and life courses taking into consideration using Scamper Model as one of the effective models for developing critical thinking skills through focusing on quality performance.
