AB - هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى تحليل محتوى الإحصاء والاحتمالات في كتب المرحلة المتوسطة في السعودية في ضوء المعايير الأساسية المشتركة (CCSSM). ولتحقيق هدف الدراسة طبّق المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، واستخدم أسلوب تحليل المحتوى، وقد تكوّن مجتمع الدراسة وعينته من كتب الرياضيات للصفين الأول المتوسط والثاني المتوسط في المملكة العربية السعودية. وللإجابة عن أسئلة الدراسة تم استخراج التكرارات والنسب المئوية لمحتوى الإحصاء والاحتمالات في ضوء المعايير الأساسية المشتركة (CCSSM). أظهرت النتائج أن كتاب الرياضيات للصف الأول المتوسط قد راعى المعايير الأساسية المشتركة المتمثلة بالإحصاء والاحتمالات بدرجات متفاوتة حيث مثل إيجاد احتمالات لأحداث مركبة باستخدام قوائم وجداول ورسوم شجرية والمحاكاة المرتبة الأولى وبنسبة 39.5%، كما تضمن كتاب الصف الأول المتوسط محتوى خاصاً بمعايير الصف الثامن وبنسبة 32.5%. وقد أغفل المؤشر الخاص بتوليد عينات متعددة لقياس التباين في التقديرات والتنبؤات عن المجتمع. كما أشارت النتائج إلى أن كتاب الرياضيات للصف الثاني المتوسط راعى أحد المعايير الأساسية المشتركة المتمثلة بالإحصاء والاحتمالات، وأربعة معايير فرعية من تلك المعايير المخصصة للصف الأول المتوسط في المعايير الأساسية المشتركة. وبينت الدراسة أن الكتب في الصفوف الدراسية كانت متباينة ومختلفة من صف لآخر، وفي ضوء نتائج الدراسة أوصت الباحثة بضرورة اهتمام المؤلفين بالمعايير الأساسية المشتركة (CCSSM). AB - This study aimed at the content analysis of statistics and probability according to Common Core Standards (CCSSM) in Mathematics textbooks assigned for the intermediate stage in Saudi Arabia. To achieve this goal, a descriptive methodology was utilized through content analysis approach. The population and the sample of this study included mathematics textbooks of both seven and eight grades in Saudi Arabia. To answer the study questions, the frequencies, percentages and Chi Square were used to compare the sub standards of statistics and probability in each and both textbooks. The analysis reveals that grade seven mathematics textbook represented Statistics and probability standards with different percentages; the substandard “Represent sample spaces for compound events using methods such as organized lists, tables and tree diagrams” was represented the highest rank with 39.5%, while the sub standard “Generate multiple samples (or simulated samples) of the same size to gauge the variation in estimates or predictions” was completely neglected in that textbook. For grade eight mathematics textbook, the analysis reveals that the textbook represented the only one grade eight statistics and probability standard as well as four grade seven standards in a deeper discussion. Generally speaking, there was variation in representing the standards when grade seven textbooks compared to grade eight textbooks. According to results, the researcher recommended that textbook authors have to be aware of the new common core standards and try to include them when modifying the textbooks.
