AB - The purpose of the present study is to identify the needs counselling and training necessary for students of the University of Dammam, And differences in the needs of students at the university, in light factor of gender and paths. The current study relied on a descriptive method, and for this purpose has been to has been applied a questionnaire to measure these needs training and counselling services consisting of 31 item, on a sample of (1957) individuals, (720 male ), (1237 female) amount male colleges (9 colleges) while female colleges (8 colleges) in addition to the preparatory year in all paths University, and after analyzing the data study showed the following results: 1) There is no impact of factor of paths with five levels on the counselling needs. 2) There is the significant impact of gender factor on the counselling needs. 3) There is effect of the interaction between factor of paths and gender on the counselling needs. 4) There is impact of factor of paths with five levels on the training needs. 5) There is no the significant impact of gender factor on the training needs. 6) Means of counselling needs of females in all paths higher than males with the exception of humanitarian and literary path. 7) Means of counselling needs of males in all paths higher than females. 8) There is effect of the interaction between factor of paths and gender in training needs.
