AU - محمود، مديحة فخري. AB - The purpose of the study is developing the social responsibility of Egyptian universities on the light of knowledge society. The study used the descriptive method and tried to answer a number of questions are: 1-what is the conceptual framework for the knowledge society contemporary educational literature? 2-what is the site of Egyptian universities of the knowledge society? 3-what are the features of social responsibility to the Egyptian universities in contemporary educational literature? 4-what is the current reality of social responsibility to the Egyptian universities on the light knowledge society from the perspective of faculty members? 5-what proposed perspective for developing the social responsibility for Egyptian universities on the light of knowledge society? According to what has been reached by the results of theoretical and empirical study, the study put proposed perspective for developing the social responsibility for Egyptian universities on the light of knowledge society. This proposed which include the philosophy, the aims, the mechanism, the obstacles, and how to overcome it.
