AB - The research aimed at identifying the reality of activating community participation in various fields in secondary schools, and obstacles that may prevent the activation of community participation in secondary schools to gain access to a number of recommendations proposed to activate the community participation in secondary schools in light of national criteria for education. The research used the descriptive surveys. The researcher built a questionnaire of 27 statement has been applied to 123 social specialist, accounting for (83%) social specialist in general secondary schools in Damietta during the first Semester of the academic year 2015/2016. The study found the following: 1) The reality of activating community participation in Secondary Schools in the fields: partnership with family, community service, mobilize community resources, public relations and communication with the community moderately, and the average is between (2.7-3.22), As it stated in the field: Voluntary work low degree, and average account (2.47). 2) There are many highly obstacles that affect the activation of community participation in secondary schools, a mean (3.95) as: Lack of awareness of the culture of community participation in education, and student density. Finally, the research offer a number of recommendations to activate the Community participation in secondary schools in light of national criteria for education.
