AB - The study aimed to analyze Socio scientific Issues and Sociology of science that are included in science textbook of 8th grade and investigate the understanding level of students for it. The researcher developed tool analysis of Socio scientific Issues and Sociology of science, and has developed test to measure the understanding level of students of it from multiple-choice type. The study sample consisted of (115) students. The results showed that the arithmetic average of the level of students' understanding of the Socio scientific Issues and Sociology of science was (14.374) and may show a statistically significant difference (α =0.05) between the level of understanding of the 8th grade students in Socio scientific Issues and sociology of science and accepted standard educationally %80. And there are differences in understanding level of them among students due to gender in favor of females. And there are statistically significant relationship between genus of the student and understanding level of the Socio scientific Issues and Sociology of science contained the book content where the percentage of females who have a high level of understanding of Socio scientific Issues and Sociology of science (64%) of the total female. and reached males who have a high level of understanding of them (32%). Results showed that the issue of plant and animal got the highest percentage (%15.4) while you do not get the issue of the implications of the war technology, the issue of the effects of the nuclear reactors, and the issue of the implications of communications technology any frequency.
