AB - This study aimed at identifying the degree of contentment work of educational consolers in governmental schools. In addition, it aimed at ranking the dimensions related to the level of contentment work with consoling work. Also, this study aimed at identifying the obstacles that face educational counselors and affect their contentment work with consoling work. The sample of the study consisted of (107) educational counselors distributed on Nablus and Jenin governorates. The sample was chosen randomly consisting of (58.45%) from the population of the study .The results of the study revealed that the level of contentment of educational counselors; the dimensions were ordered according to their importance and accordingly, the personality concerns ranked first with (0.88) deviation; then the general aspects with (0.09) deviation but the aspect of professional showed no effect. The results also revealed significant differences in the contentment with counseling work for educational counseling work for educational counselors attributed to variables (gender, social class, type of school, qualifications, years of experience and monthly income).The results also revealed the existence of (8) obstacles that face educational consolers and affect negatively their contentment work with consoling work. The most prominent ones are work stress, negative social attitude towards counseling work, work challenge among the educational consolers, teachers and administration. The researcher recommended the importance of conducting training courses, and motivating programs that reinforce educational consoler’s contentment work with consoling work through working in teams, and developing their interaction with others.
