The study aimed to improve the performance of Egyptian universities' staff using artificial intelligence by identifying the reality and obstacles facing their use of AI. A descriptive approach was used, and questionnaire, to collect data from a random sample (335) of Sohag university staff. The study found anti-AI culture, a scarcity of specialized training programs, a lack of appropriate infrastructure, and a shortage of specialized personnel. The study suggested that university administrations should adopt measures to spread the culture of AI use, train staff, provide a strong infrastructure, and attract qualified personnel.
