This study aimed to preparing a training program based on the PASS theory for improving the phonological awareness skills and verifying its impact on reducing withdrawal behavior among dyslexic primary-school students. The sample of the current study consisted of 14 dyslexic students from grades four and five of primary school, and they were divided into two equal groups: a control group and an experimental group. The study included the following instruments: Colored Progressive Matrices Test for John Raven, Quick Neurological Screening Test (QNST), Reading Performance Test (by Researcher), Characteristics of Reading Dyslexia Scale (by Researcher), Phonological Awareness Scale for Dyslexic (by Researcher), and a training program based on the PASS theory to develop the skills of phonological awareness (by Researcher). The study results showed that the program has proved its effectiveness in developing phonological awareness skills among dyslexic students of the experimental group. (Published abstract)
