The aim of this research is to elicit the expected role of the university in protecting its students from the various effects of bullying, and then to arrive at a set of appropriate mechanisms that can help the university to play this role. The study used the descriptive approach, as the literature that dealt with the concept of bullying, its components, and types, as well as the most important reasons that motivate students to practice bullying behavior, as well as the most important various effects on students, and suggesting a set of educational roles that the university can play in addressing bullying, And protecting their students from its various effects, and a set of mechanisms that can help them play these roles, then presenting the proposed set of educational roles to a sample of faculty members and academic leaders (deans - agents - heads of departments) from the faculties of education in five universities: Alexandria, Tanta, Mansoura, Kafr El-Sheikh, Assiut; In order to get acquainted with their views on each of the degree of importance of the proposed educational roles for the university to confront bullying, and to protect its students from its various effects, and the appropriateness of the proposed mechanisms to assist the university in carrying out these roles. Through the results of the statistical analysis of the responses of the sample members: the study sample agreed on the importance of each of the proposed educational roles, the mechanisms necessary for the university to practice these roles, and a set of recommendations necessary to activate these roles, and those mechanisms.
