The study aimed to investigate the extent to which secondary school principals in public education within Jeddah practice participatory leadership skills from teachers’ perspectives, to determine the level of professional learning community (PLC) implementation in secondary schools, and to identify the correlational relationship between participatory leadership and PLC implementation. To achieve these objectives, the researchers adopted a descriptive research design, employing two questionnaires for data collection: the first measured participatory leadership dimensions, and the second assessed dimensions of professional learning communities. The study sample included 375 secondary school teachers in Jeddah participated in the study. The findings revealed that the degree of practicing participatory leadership was high, and the level of PLC implementation was also high. Moreover, the results indicated a strong, positive, and statistically significant correlation between participatory leadership and the implementation of professional learning communities. In light of these findings, the study recommended fostering a culture of participatory leadership and professional learning communities by organizing meetings and training programs for teachers and principals, as well as creating a supportive school environment to facilitate the application of these practices, thereby enhancing the quality of the educational process and its outcomes.
