فاعلية برنامج قائم على مدخل التدريس المتمايز في تنمية مهارات القراءة المكثفة والقراءة الموسعة لدى طلاب المرحلة الثانوية
The main intent of the current study was to determine the effectiveness of a program based on the differentiated-teaching approach in developing intensive and extensive reading skills of secondary-school students. In order to render such a target real, a differentiated-based program was designed including the teacher's book, and students' worksheets. Moreover, intensive and extensive reading tests were prepared. Sampling encompassed (30) students randomly selected out of first-year secondary-school students in Dayroot Om Nakhla Secondary School, the Educational Directorate of Mallawy, Minia. Tests were pre-administered. The study group studied the suggested program using the differentiated-teaching approach. Tests were post-administered. Statistical analyses of the data revealed that there were statistically significant differences at (0.05) level between the mean scores of the students in the two administrations of the extensive and intensive reading test in favor of the post. In addition, results revealed that there are statistically significant differences at (0.01) between the mean scores of the research group on the pre-and-post administration of the extensive reading skills test in favour of the post administration. This pinpoints out the effectiveness of the proposed program in developing intensive and extensive reading skills of secondary-school students. (Published abstract)
