This study aimed to demonstrate the impact of using a proposed educational program based on constructivist theory in developing decision-making skills and social responsibility among ninth-grade female students in the subject of national and civic education in Jordan. The experimental method with a quasi-experimental design was used, where the study sample consisted of (52) female students who were purposively selected from the ninth grade students at Umm Al-Danair Mixed Secondary School. To achieve the aim of the study, a test of decision-making skills and social responsibility skills scale were constructed, and their validity and reliability were verified. The results showed that there were statistically significant differences at (α = 0.05) between the two arithmetic means of the post-measurement of decision-making skills and social responsibility skills according to the group (experimental, control) and in favor of the experimental group. This means that the proposed educational program that is based on constructivist theory has contributed to improving skills. Decision making and social responsibility among ninth grade female students. In light of the results, a set of recommendations were presented, the most important of which is including the proposed educational program in social studies teacher preparation programs for all academic levels.
