The aim of this research is to identify the motives for students’ participation or their reluctance to evaluate the performance of faculty members and those assigned to the workshop course on producing educational materials. The study used the descriptive analytical approach and relied on a questionnaire to collect information. The study sample consisted of (371) male and female students in the College of Basic Education in the State of Kuwait. The results of the study found that the motives for students’ participation or their reluctance to evaluate the performance of the faculty members and those assigned to the course of the workshop were the production of intermediate educational materials. The results of the study also found that there were no statistically significant differences in the motives for the students’ participation or their reluctance to evaluate the performance of the faculty members and those assigned to the course. A workshop on producing educational materials based on the variables (gender, specialization, year of study, and number of times of participation in the evaluation). In light of the research results, the researchers presented a number of recommendations, the most important of which is designing awareness programs aimed at training university students and developing their abilities in objective evaluation that contributes to developing the performance of faculty members.
