The study aims to verify the effectiveness of a program based on mental alertness in developing social skills for people with learning difficulties. The study sample consisted of 14 students. The effectiveness of a program based on mental alertness in developing social skills for people with learning difficulties. The study relied on the following tools: John Raven’s Colored Progressive Matrices Scale (CPM) (presented by Imad Ahmed Hassan, 2016), the diagnostic assessment scales battery for learning disabilities (prepared by Fathi Mustafa El-Zayyat, 2007), a measure of assessment of social skills for children (prepared by Amani Abdel-Maqsoud Abdel-Wahab, 2014), and the counseling program based on mental alertness (prepared by the researcher). The hypotheses of the current study, and the study resulted in the presence of statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.001) between the average ranks of the total members’ scores Experimental differences in the tribal and remote applications on the appropriate social skills dimension, and the presence of statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.001) between the average ranks of the experimental group members in the two applications before and after on the dimension of inappropriate social skills, and the presence of statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.001). between the mean ranks of the scores of the experimental group members in the two applications, the pre and post applications, on the assessment of social skills as a whole in favor of the post-measurement.
