دور مجتمعات التعلم المهنية في تطوير القيادات المدرسية في مدينة جدة : دراسة اجرائية
This study aimed to identify the role of professional learning communities in developing school leadership in the city of Jeddah, by identifying the reality of using professional learning communities within training programs for school leaders. The study used the qualitative methodology “experimental research”. The study tools consisted of interviews and workshops. The study sample consisted of 4 female school principals. They were selected using the snowball method. The results of the study showed that the reality of using professional learning communities within training programs for school leaders is weak, and that the participation of female school principals in professional learning communities helped develop their leadership skills. The researcher recommended the need to expand the dissemination of the foundations and requirements necessary for learning communities and to introduce them into the educational process to benefit from those capabilities in holding professional learning communities between school leaders, supervisors, teachers, superintendents, and all members of the school administration, and to overcome the obstacles to building learning communities, such as material and human obstacles, as well as training on learning community programs with the aim of transforming schools into professional learning communities.
