The study aims to verify the effectiveness of a counseling program in reducing Disturbed parental attachment patterns and the Dark Triad traits in a sample of adolescents. The study sample consisted of 12 male and female students selected from secondary school students in North Sinai Governorate. Their ages ranged between 15 to 17 years, with an average age of 16.75 years and a standard deviation of 0.622. They were divided into two equivalents: an experimental group and a control group. The following instruments were used in the study: the disrupted parental attachment patterns scale (developed by the researcher), the dark triad personality scale (adapted and translated by El- sayed el Sherbiny, 2016), and the counseling program (developed by the researcher). The study results concluded the effectiveness of the program in reducing the level of disrupted parental attachment patterns and the Dark Triad traits. This effectiveness persisted during the follow-up period (one month after the program's completion). (Published abstract)
