الخصائص السيكومترية لمقياس اتجاهات أعضاء هيئة التدريس نحو استخدام تطبيقات الذكاء الإصطناعي chatgpt في التعليم وفق أسلوب ثيرستون
The study aimed to verify the psychometric properties of the faculty members' attitudes scale towards the use of artificial intelligence applications ChatGPT in education according to Thurstone's method for equal-appearing intervals. To achieve the study's objectives, 42 items measuring attitudes were presented to 37 judges. The purpose was to classify the content of each item in terms of the degree of preference or non-preference regarding the subject based on a scale consisting of 11 equal intervals. The study calculated the grading values for the items and selected 23 items distributed equally along the scale's intervals, choosing items with the least dispersion in their grading values. The scale's psychometric properties were examined by applying the final version to 373 participants. Exploratory factor analysis revealed three dimensions for the scale. All correlation coefficients between the items and their corresponding dimension were statistically significant (α = 0.05). Similarly, the correlation coefficients between the dimensions and the tool were statistically significant (α = 0.05). The Cronbach's alpha reliability coefficient for the entire scale was 0.953.The study recommended using the scale and examining the compatibility between different Thurstone methods in selecting items for the attitude scale toward using ChatGPT in education, as used in this study.
