The problem of the study is represented in the typical behavior of children with autism spectrum disorder and their difference from their peers of ordinary children who are of the same age, as these children have deficiencies in communication, imagination, perception, and playing with children of the same age, and to study this problem, the following question was answered The following: How effective is a peer-based program in reducing some stereotypical behaviors in children with autism spectrum disorder? The current study aimed: Reducing stereotypical behavior in children with autism spectrum disorder by using an experimental peer-based program to modify their behavior. The study sample consisted of (12) children with autism spectrum disorder from Tariq bin Ziyad and Othman bin Affan school, which were combined in Port Said governorate, and their ages ranged between (6-12 years), and they were divided into two experimental and control groups. The researcher used the Autism Diagnostic Scale for Children (Preparation / Abdulaziz Al-Person, 2013), the Typical Behavior Scale for Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (the researcher's preparation), and the training program (the researcher's preparation). The study found the following results: 1) There were statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the members of the experimental and control groups on the standard behavior scale for children with autism spectrum disorder in the post-measurement in favor of the experimental group. 2) The existence of statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the experimental group members on the standard behavior scale for autistic children in the pre and post measurements in favor of the post measurement. 3) There are no statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the experimental group members on the typical behavior scale for autistic children in the post and tracer measures.
