The study aimed to reveal the level of cognitive and behavioral performance of a sample of children with autism spectrum disorder in Amman. To achieve the aim of the study, a sample of (150) boys and girls with autism spectrum disorder was selected in the capital, Amman. A questionnaire measuring cognitive and behavioral performance was developed, and its validity and reliability were verified. The results indicated that the level of cognitive performance of children with autism spectrum disorder was medium, while behavioral performance was at a low level, and there were statistically significant differences in cognitive performance attributed to gender in favor of males. There were no differences in the level of behavioral performance due to gender. The study recommended the adoption of programs that increase the cognitive and behavioral performance of children with autism spectrum disorder. (Published abstract)
