The study aimed to identify the level of the role of school principals within the Negev region in the professional development of teachers from the point of view of principals and teachers, as well as to identify the differences in the responses of the study sample due to the variables (gender, experience, job title, and school level). The descriptive survey methodology was used, the questionnaire was used as the study instrument after ensuring its validity and reliability. The study sample consisted of (378) principals and teachers, who were selected through random sampling. The results showed that the level of the role of school principals in the professional development of teachers was high, and the absence of statistically significant differences due to the variables (gender, experience, job title, and school level).
