The study aimed to identify the productive thinking skills contained in the science textbook for the fourth grade in Jordan. To achieve the objectives of the study, the descriptive analytical method was used, and the content analysis tool of the science textbook for the fourth grade was used to collect data. The sample of the study is from the science book for the fourth grade, first and second semester, approved by the Ministry of Education during the academic year 2023/2024 AD. The results of the study showed that the productive thinking skills included in the science textbook for the basic stage in Jordan were highly rated. The researcher recommended designing and preparing training programs for science teachers to increase their awareness of productive thinking skills, the importance of imparting them to students, and training them on how to develop them.
