دراسة مقارنة : المنصات الاجتماعية مفتوحة المصدر (moocs) العربية (إدراك) والأجنبية (كورسيرا)

This study aimed to provide a comparison between the open source social platforms: Arabic (Edraak) and foreign (Coursera) by using a questionnaire that measures the effectiveness criteria of each of the sites and the criticism of each of the sites through the evaluation of the researcher by referring to the theoretical literature and loging in for each of the sites. The results found that both sites are of high quality, but Edraak had a slight preference over Coursera, as for the Coursera site that surpasses the quality and number of courses it offers, which are characterized as academic or professional courses that the learner needs in many universities around the world. The recommendation for Edraak platform is to follow the example of the Coursera platform in adopting this diversity and linking the courses offered by the needs of Arab universities. The researcher also recommended developing the two sites so that it covers the negative aspects and support and develop the positive aspects. In addition, financial support and emphasis on the need for the availability of electronic and technological infrastructure, which is the basis for the provision and management of online courses and education, and encouraging educational institutions to take advantage of electronic educational platforms through holding seminars and lectures to identify them, coordination and cooperation between educational institutions and state institutions, as well as during the training of teachers in educational institutions to contribute to the development of these courses within their field of study.
