This study focuses on the integration of educational play in interactive children’s theater, using the Saudi play Jood and Azouz as a model. The research aims to explore educators’ perspectives regarding the effectiveness of employing educational play strategies in this type of theater, and to assess its contribution to achieving educational and social objectives. The study adopted a descriptive-analytical methodology, utilizing questionnaires to evaluate the effectiveness of incorporating educational play within the theatrical performance. The findings indicated that the selection of play strategies was successful, as a variety of games were presented that contributed to promoting values such as cooperation, friendship, helping others, encouraging children to solve problems, participating in theatrical interaction, role-playing on stage, and solving puzzles. The study concluded with several key recommendations, most notably: the necessity of enhancing the use of educational play in interactive theater; developing and building upon the success achieved; and expanding the range of educational goals to include new themes that serve the Saudi children’s theater. Additionally, the study recommended conducting continuous evaluations following each performance, utilizing audience feedback to improve future shows, and employing modern technologies to make theater productions more engaging and interactive for children.
